Solomon Cordwell Buenz boston, ma

Architect II / Associate

2021 - 2023

Focused on high-rise residential projects, as a project manager at SCB Architects, I manage multiple teams through all stages of design. As a leader, I managed client expectations and delivered project milestones from concept through construction documents, and into construction administration. Working closely with Hanover Development, I tailored our projects to meet the client expectations and specific needs through design and details. Working with teams as large as 8, my organization and project planning focused on quality deliverables within a profitable timeline. Beyond project work, I mentored several junior staff members and kept an active role in the organization’s EDI group, bringing inclusion and diversity to the work place.

  • Hanover Buffalo Bayou - 40 story mixed use residential tower, including retail, parking podium, and amenity deck. Located in Houston, TX.

  • Hanover Riverwalk - 36 story multifamily tower located in downtown Fort Lauderdale, FL, including structured parking and expansive amenity deck.

BERGMEYEr boston, ma

Senior Architectural Designer

2019 - 2021

As a Project Manager at Bergmeyer, I helped develop and manage the growth of the interior multifamily work, specifically with the client Toll Brothers Apartment Living. With work across the country, we design thoughtful and sophisticated design that is hospitality quality for multifamily living. The partnership with this client was long standing, but the team required an experienced leader to balance the large quantity of diverse projects to completion. I have worked closely internally to restructure staffing and deliverables for a more efficient and profitable model, while maintaining our excellence in design. As a PM on both individual projects, and as the account manager, I curated the client relationship and addressed concerns and praise. With a team of 5-8 designers and architects, I was responsible for growth, deliverables, and profitability. While at Bergmeyer, I have also worked to enhance my business development skills, attracting new clients during a challenging time.

Intern Architect II

2012 - 2014

Upon relocating to Philadelphia in 2012, I joined JDavis to be a part of the multi-disciplinary practice with a strong focus on multifamily housing, urban design & planning, affordable housing, student housing, senior living, commercial office, mixed-use, and master planning. Working with small teams, we collaborated to fully design, draft, and detail multifamily developments comprising of several hundred units and mixed constructions types; including type IIIA, VA, and IB in addition to structured parking garages. Recent projects that I have worked on including the following:

  • Carraway Village -  Chapel Hill, NC

    • A premier development providing great access to the Triangle region offering 400 rental units,  including row house style apartments with private garage parking. The greater community focuses on mixed use walk-able environments  with plenty of retail, open space, and resident amenities.

    • A suburban retail infill project that will revitalize a dying shopping center with the addition of a 232 unit, 5 story upscale apartment building with parking garage.

  • Apartments at Palladian Place - Durham, NC
